A co-founder of Schiller & Hamilton Injury Lawyers, Joel oversees the operations of the firm’s four offices throughout South Carolina and is based at the Rock Hill office. Across 17 years of representing injured parties, he has recovered tens of millions of dollars for clients in matters involving auto and trucking accidents, mass transit accidents, civil rights violations, premises liability, and medical malpractice.
Joel is also committed to serving his community. He previously held office as a York County Councilman for District 7, where he chaired the County’s Economic Development Committee. He now serves as Chair of the Winthrop University Board of Trustees and sits on the Executive Committee of the Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation Board. Much of his involvement centers on organizations working to strengthen the economic vitality and quality of life of Rock Hill, York County, and the surrounding region.
Above all, Joel’s favorite time is the time he spends with his wife of 15 years, their two daughters, and the family’s three dogs. Both daughters are active in sports, including soccer and cheer, and he enjoys cheering them on from the sidelines — among them watching one of his daughters play for Charlotte Independence Soccer.
